Safety

Bobcat

We do have bobcats in the area and they have been seen numerous times. Much smaller than a lion, they eat mostly small rodents and rabbits. They will, however, take a small pet if available. The key identifier is the shortened, or "bobbed" tail and long legs.

Mountain Lion

There has been a confirmed sighting of a mountain lion crossing 136th Street between us and Carino Canyon in early summer 2005. It is probably the same one seen at Stonegate at 110th & Shea. The key identifier is the thick, long tale (see photo). More information and what to do if you run across a lion.
